Tsumori Chisato Celebrates Laduree’s 150th Anniversary

13th March, 2012

There is nothing quite like the little piece of sweet heaven that is a Laduree macaroon, so we were very excited to learn that to help celebrate it’s 150th anniversary, Laduree has teamed up with the Japanese fashion designer Tsumori Chisato to create a new exclusive blend around the emblematic theme of the cherry blossom.

Laduree chef Vincent Lemains has created an exquisite pink macaroon, which features a light, smooth cream with the subtle flavour of cherry blossom. These gorgeous macaroons come in a limited-series gift-box accentuated with exclusive decoration by Tsumori Chisato.

La Maison Couture is also delighted to announce that for the first time, a limited edition Laduree Signature perfumed candle and a macaroon flavour will be combined to create an absolute, enveloping atmosphere designed to feed all the senses simultaneously. This exquisite scented candle comes beautifully presented in a chic gift box designed in collaboration with Ms Chisato.

The divine limited edition Bougie Fleur de Cerisier is available exclusively online in the UK in The Boutique at La Maison Couture…

Volga Linen now available in The Boutique

9th March, 2012

We are delighted to announce the arrival of gorgeous luxury linen brand Volga Linen. Now available to buy in The Boutique at La Maison Couture.

Volga Linen is a family run business launched in 1997 by Theresa Tollemache.  Whilst researching her family history in a dramatically evolving Russia, Theresa discovered a relatively unknown and  ancient industry still producing beautiful woven and embroidered flax materials to a solely local market. Flax, grown, spun and woven linen has been a tradition of the northern reaches of the Volga River for centuries…

Inspired by the unique qualities of Pure Linen, its beautiful texture and good ecological credentials, (flax needs less in the way of fertilizers and pesticides than most crops, is low maintenance and therefore more environmentally friendly), Theresa set about building her business sourcing linens from a country whose ancient skill was unknown to the international world.

10 years on, Volga linen is a thriving business producing exquisitely beautiful flax Bed Linen and Table Linen products. It’s versatility enables it to be used soft and crumpled or perfectly ironed and finished with crisp creases.  Not only wonderfully ecologically friendly, Volga Linen’s  timeless luxury linen pieces are beautifully soft to touch, while at the same time being natural and hard wearing.

We are delighted to be able to offer a selection of Volga Linen’s exquisite 100% flax pieces available to buy in our Boutique at La Maison Couture.

Introducing Contemporary Jeweller Stephen Webster…

14th February, 2012

La Maison Couture is buzzing with excitement at the arrival of uber-chic cutting edge jewellery designer Stephen Webster in The Boutique .

Stephen’s keen eye for detail, expert craftsmanship and glam-rock attitude have made him a favourite with celebrities across the globe, from Madonna to Christina Aguilera, Kate Moss, Sir Elton John, Mickey Rourke and Kate Beckinsale to name but a few and it’s easy to see why. Stephen clearly blends his love for traditional craftsmanship with a passion for contemporary music, fashion and art and the result is modern and unconventional yet utterly beautiful jewellery.

Stephen’s industrious talent has placed coloured gemstones and fine jewellery back into the spotlight. According to Stephen, “Things have changed. The fear factor, the reverence and the rather staid formality have all but disappeared. Magazines now have fashion shoots featuring H&M jeans accented by £10,000 diamond rings. Adding a diamond-studded detail to a watch or a piece of jewellery no longer marks a customer as a flashy, ostentatious type. It just makes a person look more…lively.”

It’s a unique and edgy approach that has been over 30 years in the making and won him a huge loyal global customer base as well as industry recognition.

Newly launched this week, we are delighted to be able to offer a selection of stunning jewellery pieces for both Men and Women from the best-selling Astro Balls, Jules Verne, Superstud and Baroque collections…
