Skydiamond
At the intersection of luxury and conscience, Skydiamond inspires you to wear your values. This unique feat of modern alchemy creates the world’s first carbon-negative, sky laboratory-grown diamond, symbolising a commitment to ethical choices without compromising on design.
Eco-entrepreneur Dale Vince’s blue-sky thinking initiated five-years of research and development by a group of pioneering British engineers. The result is carbon-negative laboratory-grown diamonds realised through innovative design, not offsetting. This achievement has been independently verified by Imperial College London, and the laboratory-grown diamonds are officially certified by AnchoCert using the 4 c’s grading. Skydiamond spearheads a new wave in laboratory-grown diamond creation proving not all lab diamonds are created equal. Its first-of-its-kind production process ensures end-to-end traceability at the Sky Lab in Gloucestershire. These laboratory-grown diamonds are truly clean, crafted exclusively from raw materials sourced from the sky: CO2, wind, sun, and rain. Powered by sister company Ecotricity, renewable energy credentials set them apart from other laboratory-grown diamonds in terms of composition, characteristics, and emission footprint, resulting in exquisite stones ordained by nature.
Skydiamond has collaborated with Steven Webster and Gucci (with Bleue Burnham), and continues to expand their line of ethical designer jewellery collections, including GAIA, a collaboration with brand ambassador Lily Cole in May 2024. The Skydiamond team, now led by CEO Madeleine Macey, is poised for growth. Accolades include nominations for the Positive Luxury ‘Jewellery Business of the year 2024’ award, CO2 Value Europe for their 2024 ‘Innovation Award’ and proud involvement in the 2023 Earthshot Prize.
