Hailing from a long line of traditional goldsmiths, Dubai-born jewellery designer Swati Dhanak grew up in a family surrounded by jewellery.

Her grandfather had moved to Dubai in the 1950s to expand the family jewellery business. Swati often visited the family-owned gold workshop with her grandfather as a child, powerfully instilling in her a sense of the craftsmanship of jewellery which has inspired her since.

After moving to New York for university, Swati took on various positions at Armani and Chanel, before eventually launching her own brand. Drawing on her diverse experience of travel, and living in both Eastern and Western parts of the world, Swati distils her unique perspective into geometric and asymmetric designs. Swati Dhanak creates refreshingly modern and distinctive gold and diamond pieces, pushing the boundaries of fine jewellery.
