Taylor Yates is a luxury accessories brand creating desirable luxury handbags focussed on supporting and empowering women, while ensuring due care for the planet.

Having grown up in Lancashire in the North of England, Karen Yates thought she was destined to work for other people, but her life has taken her from Warrington to London to Northern Ireland, working for large manufacturing companies to running her own family business.

Conscious of the sustainability issues and unethical practices around leather production,Taylor Yates wanted to be sure that her suppliers use environmentally friendly production methods and care for the environment in the raw materials used. Made by hand in Somerset, Taylor Yates leather producers have long established trading links to Ethopia (dating back 100 years) and provide community wide support for employees, including on site clinics and resources for schools.

Taylor Yates are proud to support Women for Women International. In 2017 raised £1000 to sponsor a woman survivor of war through the charity’s year-long holistic training programme, to equip her with the skills to earn money, regain her confidence and actively participate in her community. In countries affected by conflict and war, Women for Women International supports the most marginalized women to earn and save money, improve health and well-being, influence decisions in their home and community, and connect to networks for support.
