Born in Casablanca, Morocco, Julien always had a fascination with the untold mysteries hidden within the Earth, collecting gems, rocks and fossils from a young age.

Aged 19, he moved to France to study business administration, then to Spain two years later before returning to the family home in Casablanca to work for the family business. Whilst it was a great professional experience, Julien searched for a way he could express his creativity, and enrolled at the prestigious Gemological Institute of America in New York, following his passion for stones, artistry and craftsmanship. Continuing his studies at the main GIA campus in California, he completed an Applied Jewellery Arts Diploma and a Graduate Jeweller qualification.

Now a fully-fledged designer, Julien was ready to travel the globe in search of inspiration. Inspired by the organic forms of nature, Julien is driven by his desire to unite humanity and leave a positive footprint on the world. JRS collections are handcrafted in18k gold mixed with black, brown and white diamonds that are responsibly sourced and can be traced to the oldest diamond family business in India. Some items are featured in The Maiyet Collective.

Through their finely wrought craftsmanship, Julien’s exquisite pieces may be remembered for generations to come.
